i wonder if jr will leave anything to his son with callie because he did care enough to look him up he just didnt want to mess callie up again, and let her get on with her life.
i was thinking this a while back when i was not around for a while...
but i was thinking that how Jock's will created such a stir - would JR's will do the same?
now we have on one hand John Ross who will stand to inherit from his father, but we cant forget the son he had with Callie and also James and Jr's grandchild!
the ideas are endless on what sort of stipulation may be on the will - after all it is JR!
and even though Larry sadly has left us and the character of JR will be off the screens
am sure he will have some trick up his sleeve in his will
once again - rip Larry
you are so going to be missed by me and everybody

Considering the title of the episode that deals with J.R.'s death is 'J.R.'s Masterpiece' - I would assume this means his 'final act', via his will........and I hope that he's done something just as significant as Jock did in his will that pits John Ross against Christopher.......and perhaps brings a new character on board......for a decent second half of the season finale.....
Ideally? I'd love to have J.R. reveal in his will the whereabouts of Pamela Barnes Ewing....and he's known all along, but kept it from Bobby, knowing he'd chase after her if he knew the real reason she'd stayed away all these years........that would be a great setup to season 3....if only Victoria Principal would return to the show....
anything to bring back VP!!![]()
and i dont know if he will pit John Ross vs Christopher via something in his will
because thats already happening - they are against eachother and dont really have
the same bond JR and Bobby used to as blood brothers in the original series
but i love the idea of JR knowing of Pam's whereabouts!!
EW1NG, I wonder how Sue Ellen will be involved/affected by J.R.'s last will and testament, maybe a final "Hello, Darlin" for her. With J.R. Ewing, you never know what he has up his sleeve.![]()
I would imagine JR's will would contain a provision to make John Ross have to earn his inheritance. JR is old-school, like his father. Just like Jock's will made Bobby and JR have to compete against each other to earn control of Ewing Oil, JR will want his son to earn his fortune. He won't just give it to him outright.
As far as the other heirs are concerned, I could see him denying James because of the way he left him in the sanitarium and I'm assuming he didn't visit JR in the nursing home. It's possible JR might have left something, however, to his grandson, James' son. That would mean we'll have a new character on screen, a 20-something young man, coming to claim his inheritance - a possible rival for John Ross.
And then there's Callie's son. We don't know if there's been any contact there. We'll have to wait and see.
Of course, with JR being such an important and well-known person, his death will be in all the newspapers across the country and the world. With all the affairs JR had, it's very possible there will be heirs popping up out of the woodwork to claim an inheritance and/or contest the will.
I think he might leave something substantial to Sue Ellen as compensation for everything he made her endure while they were married. From what we saw in season 1, I believe he still loves her.
Whatever is in JR's will, I'm sure it will keep his spirit and memory alive for the duration of the show, however long that may be. He will be the unseen character, still controlling everything and everyone from the grave. Would we have it any other way???
i agree with you july baby,i would like to see james and callies kid mentioned, the thing i keep scratching my head about is that there will be some fight between maybe his kids.i dont think john ross even knows about callies boy.
^^^EW1NG, given J.R. and Sue Ellen's history together on the show along with Larry and Linda's real life friendship, I would not be surprised if for one scenario, I can picture J.R.'s final "Hello, Darlin" for Sue Ellen to be something nice she would have never expected, either a monetary or meaningful token/item that reflects how much she meant to him over the years even though they had their many many differences.
i just hope jrs death doesnt send her drinking again,i would like to see where shes ready to take a drink and bobby tells her he wouldnt want you to do that, after everything jr did to her she still loved him and he still loved her.i just hope the will isnt like jocks, getting the boys to fight against each other.
^^^^Victor, I can picture Bobby being there for Sue Ellen as they mourn the loss of J.R. together. No matter what happened over the years between J.R. and Sue Ellen, they will always love each other.![]()
so much speculation and possibilities, the anxiety is driving me nuts!! lol
cant wait either way for JR's masterpiece!!
I've been wondering about J.R.'s will for awhile now. While I don't think J.R.'s will will have quite the impact Jock's will had I can't help but think it may throw more than a few obstacles up. One thing I've wondered about/never been quite sure about is the deed to Southfork. I remember J.R. signing it over&giving it to Bobby before Bobby's health attack(was it a stroke?I can't remember just now)but we don't know,so far at least,if the deed was notarized. Maybe it happened off screen or maybe it'll happen before J.R.'s passing. If wasn't notarized&legally filed maybe that'll be a part of the drama/fallout from J.R.'s will.
am sure he will reveal some things! that will cause trouble!
