Shame we did not meet Jason Ewing

I would have loved to have met Jason Ewing especially right after Jock's death and maybe explore Jock's family and expand the Ewing Family. I did not much care for Jamie coming to their home uninvited (like she could not write or call before hand) and spent months freeloading no them. If Jason had anything that entitled him to a part of Ewing Oil, wouldn't he have come to Dallas himself and staked his claim? I got that Jack was supposed to be a substitute for Bobby but was not well written.

Missed opportunity.

I agree that it would have been nice to see Jason. But I wouldn't be surprised to see all sorts of supposed Ewing heirs, sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins coming out of the woodwork after JR officially dies on the show. It could get interesting - some of them may have a legitimate claim to an inheritance, such as Callie's son and James Beaumont. And James has a son, too, at least one that we know of, from the original series. As I said in another thread, JR's will (or lack thereof) has the potential to cause all sorts of rivalry and havoc in the family, just as Jock's did way back when, thus keeping JR's memory and spirit alive throughout the run of the new series. If the writers are as creative as those in the original run, JR, although not physically present, can continue to dominate the family and the show from the grave. JMHO.
