I agree that it would have been nice to see Jason. But I wouldn't be surprised to see all sorts of supposed Ewing heirs, sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins coming out of the woodwork after JR officially dies on the show. It could get interesting - some of them may have a legitimate claim to an inheritance, such as Callie's son and James Beaumont. And James has a son, too, at least one that we know of, from the original series. As I said in another thread, JR's will (or lack thereof) has the potential to cause all sorts of rivalry and havoc in the family, just as Jock's did way back when, thus keeping JR's memory and spirit alive throughout the run of the new series. If the writers are as creative as those in the original run, JR, although not physically present, can continue to dominate the family and the show from the grave. JMHO.
