Ted Shackelford (Jeffrey on Y&R, Gary Ewing on Dallas) and Larry Hagman's death

Okay, I know Larry Hagman is not apart of Y&R in any way... but as a primetime soap icon... he will be so missed by so many viewers.
    RIP Larry Hagman.

Related... I wonder if Ted Shackelford will be given a larger role on Dallas when JR will have to be written out.
Dallas will have to go in other directions with the loss of Larry Hagman.
I wonder if Gary Ewing will become a bigger part of new Dallas.
Bobby and Gary could battle new villains.

    Again, RIP, Larry Hagman.
There is no replacement for JR Ewing.
No one can fill Larry's boots.

I know he was older and in ill health but I was still shocked he passed.
So sad and I love the new Dallas, so I'm a little nervous how it will affect that show.

I just can't see Bobby and Gary without their foil in JR. Both Gary and Bobby are the good guys.

I love TS and am glad he is apart of the new Dallas, can't wait for the season to start!

Just like there is only ONE Victor there is only ONE JR!

Same here. I honestly feel bad about how I was considering the direction of the show when this iconic actor passed. He will be missed n more than that the fact that he was willing to work up til his passing was so honorable. RIP

Thanks for posting Ted Shackelford's tribute to Larry Hagman. He will be missed and will never be forgotten. I am truly thankful for the many years of memories Larry has provided in his iconic role of J.R. Ewing on Dallas.

Larry Hagman entertained like few others. He'll be greatly missed.

I do wonder if Ted Shackleford and Patrick Duffy will be on more since it sounds like they hadn't finished the season's shooting.

Did the tribute get moved as well? Can't seem to find it.

Very sad to hear about Larry Hagman's passing. He played the best TV villian ever! I honestly think this is going to be a huge challenge for the show Dallas moving forward without JR. Even though he was not exactly the main character in the new show, his screen time and presence on the show could not be matched by any of the other characters.
