Season 2 Spoiler - Regarding a new character

I looked to see if this was already posted, but according to a T.V. Guide interview with Cynthia Cidre - the reason why Ann was crying over the photo of the child (who is her daughter, BTW) is spoiled in the interview.......I've removed some working and changed the 'who is speaking' to just TVG and CC to avoid copy and paste violations.

TVC: There was a scene [SUPPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN] the finale with Ann’s ex-husband, Harris Ryland, phoning their daughter, who was kidnapped as a baby, to tell her it was time she met her mother. But [THAT SCENE] was cut. Why?
CC: First of all, it didn’t have a strong enough build-up for what a [powerful] reveal it was, so it felt kind of lame. But way more importantly, I want to reveal that in Season 2. Why [REVEAL IT] at the end of Season 1? So we’ll be going there big time when [THE SHOW RETURNS].

TVG: So this girl will be a major character next year and could possibly be a love interest for the boys?
CC: Yes. Her name is Emma. And we’re hoping she’s a blonde because for some reason, a lot of people have been confused by [brunettes] Elena and Rebecca.



Emma was kidnapped as a baby.......and Harris has known where she was and not told Ann. This oughta be fun to watch it play out.

I've known all along Harris knew about whatever tragedy that befell Ann's(Ryland's too?) daughter. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Harris has a hand in the child's kidnapping.

For some reason I just can't put it past Harris to have had something to do with it&then beat Annie over the head with guilt over what she let happen to the child. Harris is something else.
