    I remember the 80's

I remember during the summers when i was out of school watching Santa Barbara. I actually enjoyed it and thought the women on there were very beautiful. Some of the cast went on to bigger things IE A. Martinez and Robin Wright. I remember (if I am not mistaken) There was a guy on the who originally played Don Williams on Days of our Lives.

Yes! The man's name is Jed Allan, however, he played Don Craig on DOOL; Marlena's first husband. On Santa Barbara he played CC Capwell and JA also played Edward Quartermaine for a time on General Hospital.

I'm with you too. I was in elementary school, 6th grade, when I started watching SB in the 80s. I started watching during the earthquake storyline. I remember the Capwell and Lockridge mansions were damaged and Sophia running around in a disguise, hiding her identity from here daughter Kelly. Augusta was stuck on a cliff. The show was good, up to the point when I got tired of the very frequent recasts and new characters that came and went (how many actresses played Santana and Kelly?? too many to count). Gina was my favorite character, thought couldn't get used to Robin Matson, but came to love her take on the character. Those were the days, I only wished that SB was still on, maybe I'd still be watching it.

SB was a pretty fantastic show. You are right, Kelly and Santana were recasted too many times. Wasn't Gina recasted a lot too?
I've tried to watch some epi's that one sight we aren't allowed to mention... But there aren't too many, and the ones there are pretty poor in quality.

LOVED SB from the very first episode. I still have Cruz and Eden’s wedding recorded. Thought it was one of the most beautiful places ever where they filmed and had to go stay there once. Been a fan of Melissa Reeves’ ever since I first saw her on Santa Barbara too. I wish that SoapNet would start showing all the classic soaps and not just repeats of the current episodes that happened that day. I would love to watch this again.

I remembered Joe Mascolo who is best known as Stefano on Days being on Santa Barbara around 1985 or 1986 but I don't remember his character's name on the show.

this soap is the best example what you shouldn't do..... focous on JUST Eden and Cruz...of curse the other characters were awesome written too and had their big part in this soap, but you always could see that it was mostly all around Eden and Cruz. and after the main stars left, the show got cancelled months later

I've been watching clips of SB all weekend, and it makes me miss the show so much. I wont say it was the best show ever, but I will say that without a doubt Cruz and Eden were the best love story ever. They remain my favorite couple ever, and I have watched a lot of soaps over the years, and no other couple even comes close.
