Yes, you got it, victor lord jr. It was at the Southern Cross Ranch, and JR was referring to Dusty, who was on crutches.

It was Clayton asking Afton if Cliff was worthy of Sue Ellen. (Cliff and Sue Ellen had started seeing each other again after her divorce from JR.) It was in this conversation that Afton realized Clayton was in love with Sue Ellen.

    How about this one?

Speaker 1: "Marry me. I make a nice living as a lawyer- $200,000 a year."

    Speaker 2's response: "J.R. tips $200,000 a year!"

Hey victor... You're putting two of Lucy's men together. The lawyer, Alan Beam, was an associate at Smithfield/Bennett and one of JR's stooges also. He and Lucy were engaged, JR was pretty happy about it because he thought by marrying Alan, Lucy would leave Southfork and Dallas for good. Alan was on Dallas all of season 3.

The guy Lucy dated that was gay was Kit Mainwaring (sp?). Kit was on one episode and again JR was happy Lucy was going to marry Kit... Because of a refinery deal.

It was Kristin's old boyfriend who showed up in Dallas and tried to convince her to leave JR and marry him. He thought she would be impressed with his salary - her response was hilarious.

Ah yes! I remember now. Terry Lester (Jack Abbott, YR) played him. JR got the guy fired from his law firm for sleeping with Kristin.

That's right, midwest. I think JR also had him blackballed in the whole state of Texas! JR never did anything halfway!

Here's one... and I love it... "There are very few people in the world who intimidate me and you're one of them".
Miss Ellie: "Why, Because I'm Mrs. Jock Ewing?"
Other person.... "NO! Because you're ELLIE Ewing, you don't need a man's name to give you power"

Who said THAT to Miss Ellie?

I'm guessing Matt Devlin or Rebecca Wentworth when they first met.
