Untimely passing: Linda Cook (Egypt)

Linda Cook, who started her career in soaps, by playing the third and final adult Laurie Ann Karr on 'The Edge of Night,' and who later appeared in 'Loving' as Egypt, has passed away at the age of 55 (April 12, 2012). She was most recently a real estate broker and leaves behind her husband Patrick mann and two sisters. Our deepest sympathies go to her family.
A memorial service will be held on April 28.

That is so sad to hear. I loved her as Egypt on Loving. I thought she was fabulous in that role, brought so much life to the series and just poured her heart into every scene. Some of Loving's best years in my opinion were when Ms. Cook was playing Egypt and the whole story with Egypt and Miss Minnie returning to town to torment Clay Alden was fabulous. Such a loss, and deepest sympathies to her husband, sisters, other family and her co-workers at Loving.
