I wonder if they are going to bring Bobby's other son on the show.

I can't wait to see the Ewings again! It's been too long.
I wonder if they are going to bring Bobby's other son on the show.
Lucas?I'm not sure. Of course I'm almost sure he wouldn't be on right off the bat. Jenna&Ray left SF with him when he was just a baby so he didn't have much of a chance to get established in the family dynamic lol. I belive I heard SK/Ray was in the premiere episode. Hopefully Ray will make more than one appearance on the new show&Lucas will tag along. I think it would be really good story having Ray's son(Bobby's bio son)coming to SouthFork to claim his piece of the Ewing pie lol.
So cool about the premiere date! Ray is also going to be in a later episode, another Ewing Barbecue! Lucy also returns for that one, though I believe she will also get one more. I think it would be very cool indeed to see Lucas in the new show. It is very exciting but it is still too far away, lol! I am hoping we at least get a good media blitz to pass the time-I understand that yesterday the cast did a press photoshoot and Larry, Patrick, and Linda will be on the cover of AARP in June. I guess they are not shying away from older viewers, lol! But seriously, I think they have a very good chance of getting old and young so I think it was a great choice-I have also heard there will be features soon in People and TV Guide so that will be great. I am guessing we might see them making the rounds on more and more talk shows as the date approaches, and of course more new commercials. Exciting times for Dallas fans!
I'm actually looking forward to this I remember it from the 80's as a child my mom always watched it.
I do hope Lucas shows up at some point....they've really got a good stock of 'next generation' Ewings to pick up the mantle and carry the series forward.....Bobby and Betsy....Lucas Wade.......Pamela Cooper (Barnes)....Christopher and John Ross.....J.R.'s grandson (James' son Jimmy)....and the baby Callie Ewing had.....which I believe was J.R.'s, but James and Callie claimed it was theirs together......so there are plenty of Ewings left to mine for this new show.......
----------------------Hi Dr.Kipling, nice to see you over here! I just checked this board for the first time, to see when the return of "Dallas" is going to air, and was happy to see the date and time (and station : ) in your post-Thank you! Can't wait to see the Ewings return!
Oh...I almost forgot about Bobby and Betsy. I do hope they encorporate the Knots Landing branch of the Ewing family tree and I totally forgot that James had a child. They almost need to do a Dallas recap episode right before the premiere.
I'm getting excited now that we know a start date! I hope they keep the same theme song...I can already hear it in my head!
The baby Callie left town with would be, in real time, 20 years old now......almost 21......they appear to have 'de-aged' John Ross a bit, so...perhaps they could bring on J.R. and Callie's son at 17, 18 years of age?
Per the 'Ultimate Dallas' website's latest news feature, TNT is apparently so pleased with the first season (10 episodes) of the new Dallas series, they have already started talking season 2, with another 10 - 15 episodes to be filmed......YAY!!!!!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Yippee!!!!Fanfrickintastic news!!
Thought that might make your day, Doc! ;0)
^^^^^^^^^^^LOL! That did it![]()

Yep, I marked my calendar too. Can't wait.
I absolutely can't wait! lol I mean I guess we have too, but still....I can't wait!
^^^^^^^^^^^^It's gonna be a blast! Those Ewings never disappoint me lol.
Dr.Kipling, thanks for posting this, the countdown to June 13th has already started. I am very happy The Ewings will be back on TNT, cannot wait to find out what J.R. Ewing has up his sleeve.
PS Loved the title for this thread too.![]()
Bobby and JR sound like they are asleep in the promo ad.
You're very welcome Viki&Charlie!!Funny thing about the thread title. Before I posted I was at one of the grocer's I frequent. While I was waiting for my number to be called at the deli I started humming. The adorable woman at the counter looked back&asked "Smiley(that's what she calls me)what are you humming?" I said (proudly) "The theme to Dallas". She told me she thought she recognized it&remarked how she missed the show. I said(loudly)"Well get ready ma'am........The Ewings are coming!Their coming back! The Ewings are coming!"
We all got a pretty good laugh out of it lol.
Dr.Kipling, thanks for sharing the story, I too would have laughed and cheered if someone had delivered the news about Dallas' impending return this summer.Hard to believe how quickly time flew by.
I am very happy Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray will be returning to the series based on the cast photo posted on TNT's webpage. Do you know how likely other cast members from the 1978-1991 run might return to the current show?
Hi Viki&CharlieI'm right there with you about Larry,Patrick,&Linda are onboard too. The show, imo, wouldn't have been right without them.
I don't know much about who might be returning from the original cast. The first episode of the new series is a reception@SouthFork. I believe Ray&Lucy are on hand. Our fellow poster CliffBarnes was actually an extra on the new Dallas pilot(lucky devil lol). If I recall correctly he told us both Ray&Lucy were on for at least a couple of shows.
I've read unconfirmed reports tptb&Victoria Principal were talking but that may just be a rumor. I'm hoping KK/Cliff will be back too. To my way of thinking Dallas just isn't complete without JR's favorite pain in the tush aka Clifford Barnes lol.
What memories this thread brings back. Linda Gray was one of my all-time favourites on the show. Alas, I do not get TNT.
that music still gives me the chills love it!
Dr.Kipling, thanks for filling me in. I too would be very happy if Ray, Lucy, and of course, and Cliff (the original cast members) would return to Dallas. The last thing I would want is to find out one of the roles has been recast for whatever reason. In my book, Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Victoria Principal will always be J.R., Bobby, Sue Ellen, and Pam, respectively. I would find it very hard to accept a recast for any of the roles mentioned in this post.
Only three more weeks! I can't believe it!!!!
