    Awake (NBC)

I know the show doesn't officially premiere til March 1st. But NBC has released the pilot early. If anyone has yet to check it out, I recommend doing so. One of the best pilots I've seen in quite some time. The great Jason Isaacs is great. BD Wong is fabulous. And the premise and set up is awesome.

For those who have seen it, what are your early thoughts so far?

Thanks for the head's up. I just saw it. It was great---totally sad though. I was about to cry several times.

    The concept is fantastic!!

Love all the actors too. Will we see a different episode in March or this one???

I think I know what the answer to the question is.... but I don't want to spoil the show.

    If we can speculate later....

Yes Penelope P i agree the concept does look interesting. In fact it kind of reminds me of one out of body experiences, thing is i'm "dead" serious.

It's available to download for free on iTunes. Highly recommend checking it out. I'm only 10 minutes in, but so far it's one of the best TV pilots I have ever seen.

I hope more and more people give this show a look, as it's ratings are not all that great right now. I'm not even sure it will make it through THIS season. Personally, I have enjoyed what I have seen thus far. It's an interesting premise and I quite like both psychiatrists differing perspectives.

Me too and I love how each murder is connected and solved differently. Hope it stays.

So, if he moves to Portland with his wife, will he still wake up in L.A. during his reality with his son? I'm not sure I understood that. How would one reality help him in the other, he is solving crimes in different states?

No you're not alone. I've also wondered what that guy that knows about his therapy is up to, & is he aware of only 1 therapist or both.

I got the feeling that the Gemini Killer paid a visit to Dr. Judith Evan's office only, but I can't say for sure. Since the killer has moved to Portland, is there a chance they will send Detective Britten there to follow him, due to the killer's willingness to communicate with him, thus facilitating a move to Portland for both realities? That way, there would be no breakdown for one reality, since they will still both be in the same place.

P.S. jcwalk, were you asking about the alleged Gemini Killer, or someone else? I answered, thinking you were talking about the killer, but maybe you weren't.

I'm a little sad right now, because TVbytheNumbers has Awake listed as "likely to be cancelled".

This is a great show, even though no one is watching. At least, not enough of the 18-49 age group that the advertisers so covet. TV Guide and TV.com list it as one of the best new shows on TV, but now I see that TV By The Numbers lists it as "certain to be cancelled" and it's just a matter of time before I read that it has been cancelled. Boo-hoo. I sure wish intelligent shows were more liked from that age group, but that's just not the case. They want mindless reality shows, apparently.

Well, an intelligently written show failed to find an audience, once again. You're watching the dumbing down of America, people, while mindless shows thrive. Oh, well.
