This has everything to do with the budget, the stations have admitted as much. This has never gone on before...this is something new now where they are slipping in reruns inbetween a new episode to save money. They have also done this with the soaps. When I was growing up, you had 26 whole episodes for a show...then you would have summer reruns and when the fall returned, the new shows were back again. Nothing like what we have today where "DWTS" will return for it's thirteenth season so you would think it was on forever, but this is not the case because unlike years ago when you had a full season of 26 episodes you don't have that today. The season has been very shortened. And to say TV episodes do not fall out of the air, they have to be filmed, written, etc. is a totally nonsensical statement to make. They have ALWAYS turned out new episodes, this is nothing new, like I said, it's budget restraints which ABC and CBS have admitted to. Like I said, viewers will lose interest because they have no clue as to where a show has left off which just happened to me in "Blue Bloods"...where the younger son is undercover but when it returned with a new episode, I totally forgot the whole undercover story and where it left off. Not a smart way to try to hold on to an audience. I first noticed this when a show had premiered and on previews for the next week's episode, it said "New episode next week"...I was like "WTH"...I thought it was the funniest thing I've ever heard. But apparently not, because it seems to be the way things are going now. They feed it to us and we accept it...like trained seals. And I'm paying for this?

It is, don't worry. ABC does this kind of ****. NBC too. They gotta span it from September to May somehow, and since a full season is 22 episodes and no longer 26, they gotta put empty space in between.
Revenge pulls in good numbers and gets really good reviews. It'll be back in April, and again next September for Season 2.![]()
Oh ****, I didn't realize it wasn't coming back until April 18... It's literally getting an almost two month break. Ugh. ****ing ABC...
From April 18 till the End it going be great
ABC execs: "Hey, the ratings for this Revenge are pretty great. I should watch it sometime. Hey, what kind of reality show is named Revenge anyway? What? You mean it's not a reality show? It's a PRIMETIME SOAP?! Take it off air, you know nobody wants to watch that! What-we've already ordered a full season of episodes? Fine....let's postpone it until April."
APRIL 18? WTF!!!!
I may not even watch next season if ABC is going to jerk us around like this!
Why get invested in a show when it seems they are not. I'll just wait until the whole season is out and then watch the shows consecutively! These long breaks are ruining it especially when there are so many plots and points woven together for the viewer to remember!
1 more week...
Msg too short![]()
Saw the preview for the new episodes, looks like they are not giving up on the Jack and real Amanda/faux Emily as long lost soulmates... Honestly they don't have a thimbles full of chemistry (IMO). Frankly, I didn't see anything resembling a pulse in the Jack character at all until the faux Amanda/real Emily showed up.
I'll be totally annoyed if real Amanda ends up with Jack and not Daniel.
I'm all caught up. I'll keep quiet.
I'm of a mixed opinion. totally wanted real Amanda with Jack at the beginning; now not sure I see the chemistry. Daniel is mushy, not my fav character.
I hate that Daniel is becoming his father.![]()
I hope there is some reason Daniel is doing this that the audience doesn't see yet otherwise it is just the writers still trying to make their orginal pairing (Jake and real Amanda) more viable. Personally, I just don't think Jack/real Amanda will ever be viable because there is no chemistry between the actors...
Still love this show. I actually came across this one site where there were people that like Real Amanda and Nolan. I can't see it, but it's really cool.
I actually thought Daniel was gonna screw Jack somehow during the interview.
I'm stilling loving the show too. Am not shipping any particular couple which is nice. I'm open to whatever story evolves. I thought that Amanda's father might really be alive but it doesn't look like it after last week.
sammy gone...................
"Tell Jack I love him" Really writers? Not only haven't I seen it with the actors (lack of chemistry IMO), but I don't even think the plot has really shown it either.
When you are telling a continuing story (as oppose to a one off movie or play) you have to be able to recognize and react to the changes that chemistry brings....
Can't believe Sammy's gone.
Poor Nolan, I don't want him to die. He really grew on me.
I'm hoping that Nolan isn't dead either. Sammy would have been pretty old since Amanda got him for her 6th birthday and she's now at least 22. I remet mber criticism when the show first came on that her childhood dog wouldn't still be alive. It is kind of sad that a dog that lived a full life gets more sympathy from forums than the probable death of a fairly young and fairly nice guy.
I loved Jack & Amanda/Emily's kiss!!
Poor Sammy.
I can't imagine Nolan's going to die, he is one of the best parts of the whole series. I think he'll live, hopefully.
OMG that finale rocked!!!
RealEmily is pregnant....
Banging my head against the wall at that monkey wrench.
Great finale overall though, I wish TheBlackRose would come back to comment.

that finale was EPIC, I can't remember a time where I was that interested in every episode of a show
Of course Sammie had to die. He was the only one smart enough to know who the real Amanda was.![]()
I wonder if the baby is really Jack's.
Not understanding why real Amanda didn't tell Jack the truth even after finding out about fake Amanda's pregnancy. Was it to protect fake Amanda? If she really loves Jack, she would trust him enough to be honest with him. She owes it to him, imo. Oh well, this leaves open the possibility real Amanda will reconnect with Daniel next season (I like her better with Daniel anyway). I love the way Conrad, even after everything, tried to save Victoria one last time. Had it been spoiled that Victoria was going to be killed off?
I really wish Revenge would get it's own board. It is the best soap on television. Perhaps it could get GCB's undeserved spot since it's now been cancelled.

I dont think Victoria is dead... Im so looking forward to season 2!!
But was she actually on the plane? I remember seeing her standing in front of the stairs on the runway, but can't remember if she actually got on the plane?
The news reports would list her as "dead" if they had a passenger list in writing of who was supposed to be on the plane. And Victoria certainly has the resources to hide out and fake her death for a while.
