    B&S as A Daytime Soap?

This could be really good or really bad! This article says that a lot of people want to see Brothers and Sisters as a daytime soap opera. The last few seasons really felt like one so I can defintely see it, but I'm just not sure it would be any good, espeically with the cast that the author is suggesting

It'd be neat to see it as a daytime soap. An actual smart decision of ABC although it's hard to picture anyone but Sally Field as Nora. ABC has left the Walkers w/ unfinished business. They should put it as a daytime soap.

Don't rain on my parade so fast! lol I know the chances are super slim, but you really do never know. ABC might actually make a smart move about their shows.

They have never made any smart moves in years.

Ain't that the truth. Maybe there's a first time for everything (or couple of years first time)

Personally I would prefer if they did a spin-off of B&S and made it have crossovers with character from Desperate Housewives. Justin could possibly get married to Julie Mayer, Susan's daughter and they could move to New York or something and there could be guest appearances by characters from both shows.

I've gotten into watching it on soapnet, before the evening showing of Y&R, and am grateful for the opportunity, before the plug is pulled on the channel. But with all the soap stars available from all the cancelled soaps, they'd want to recast the whole thing, just not realistic.

Personally, I think this is one of the best shows that has ever been produced. To this day I can not understand why they cancelled it. I have really enjoyed watching it on Soapnet and do so everyday. I like reality TV but I think they are overdoing it by canceling many good shows for reality and talk shows.

I would love to see a B&S reboot for daytime. That said, the networks have repeatedly claimed, that production costs made the genre counter-productive to it's bottom line.
Foolish and not researched well enough IMO. I know of many people who recorded the soaps and watched them later. The success of Soapnet was a great indicator, of the
interest viewers have in serial programming. Cable is the most cost effective route.
The author's casting suggestions seem too far fetched. Recasting Nora Walker would be an incredible challenge. Erika Slezak and Susan Lucci are so well known for their
characters, I can't believe they could do another soap so soon. Especially not as recasts in such a dynamic show.
I could see a B&S remake, with the younger years. The actress who played young Nora in the 2nd last show, would be perfect. Watching the young Walker's become
the adults we grew to love, might make for great story telling.
If the show picked up, where we last saw them, I believe the cast would need to be relatively unknow actors. There's no need to have an "all star" cast of character's.
I could see many of the ATWT and GL actors taking over the core character's roles.
Colleen Zenk Pinter could make a believable Nora.
Justin Deas could make a great Saul.
Holly (if they brought her back), could be played by Mary Kay Adams.
Sarah would shine if played by Kelley Menighan Hensley.
Kitty is such an amazing character, Rebecca Budig could do the role justice.
Either Trent Dawson or Daniel Cosgrove would make a great fit as Kevin.
Tommy has been a chameleon like character and Kin Shiner might be believable.
The character of Justin would probably best be played by a newer actor, though Brian Bloom could do a great job. (Or the actor who played Stone on GH).
As for the supporting characters, their history is too long to be played by day players.
If they brought back Rebecca, I think Stephanie Gatschet would be perfect.
As for Scotty (who is more of a core character), Bailey Chase or Kerr Smith come to mind.
Agim Kaba might make for a believable Luc.

Because of being busy in my day time as i have to go to my office, I prefer watching night time soaps. And I am a big fan of B & S.
