There was something very cool happening at the 2011 Emmys. Of course, it happened more in the blogs and video interviews than it did on screen. But, everyone seemed more supportive of each other than ever before. So, in the spirit of team work, Tony and I watched the Emmys, blogged about it, and then dug through tons of pictures for the best representation of what daytime has to offer. Here’s the best of the best!
Best Dressed Male
DAYS: Chandler Massey looked perfect. He suited up. He brought his mom. He reminded us that while Will is a confused teenager, Chandler is on his was to being a cool leading man.
Non-DAYS: Jason Thompson looked all shades of suave in his suit. His swoon-worthiness could inspire pretty much anyone to start watching GH. His look was simply, classy, and perfect for the awards. The Rat Pack would have been proud.

Best Dressed Female
DAYS: After looking at Crystal Chappell: Rock Goddess, we double dare you not to do the diva snap. We’ll wait until you get to the shoes.
Non-DAYS: Nadia Bjorlin wore this nude, sparkly number last year. To their credit, Lisa Locicero, Tracey E. Bregman, and Chrishell Stause did not let a good lesson be lost on them and worked a very similar look this year. We realize that not all of Nadia’s fashions will translate to the “everywoman”; but Lisa, Tracey, and Chrishell have the bods to pull it off. This group of Jedi has learned well from the master.
Best Dressed Duo
DAYS: Remember the scene in "Scarface" when Tony sees Elvira for the first time? They are both do deliciously rich and beautiful that it was hard not to feel the hotness through the screen. Galen Gering and Arianne Zucker were more than channeling that moment. They darn near stole it.
Non-DAYS: Normally, coordinating couples can be a little hokey. (Think- high school prom) But, the stunningly gorgeous Mr. and Mrs. Hartley did it right. Their fashion complimented each other, yet was strong enough to stand on their own. But, we’re glad that they stood next to each other. That much beauty should be contained to small areas at a time, as to not make the rest of humanity green (arrow) with envy.
Best Acceptance Speech
Accepting an Emmy award for a role that you’ve since been fired from could come across as a bit awkward. But, Brittany Allen’s speech – like her – was cute and classy. She was ecstatic without being overly gushy. She simply appeared grateful and managed to thank nearly everyone in the three seconds the awards peeps gave soap actors to do so. We consider that a double win.
Best Reaction to an Award
Scott Clifton’s reaction was great. We like Scott! He’s fun. His surprise and exuberance over his acting win was exactly what soap fans needed to see in an otherwise soap-lite ceremony.
