Reasons to Like Rafe

Rating: 2 votes, 1.00 average.

Salem's newest hero (?) has yet to impress me. It's a shame too because he has a lot going for him. Not only does his protrayer, Galen Gering, come with some rollover Passion love (yes, I was a fan) BUT he hit the lottery of leading ladies by being paired with long-time fan favorite, Alison Sweeney. I've been very vocal in my columns that I am ready for him to leave Salem. Yet, in the interest of being fair (and carrying over a lesson that my mom taught me) I'm going to try to see both sides. So, here is my list of reasons to like Rafe:

1. He works on first hand information.
I can't stand the way he goes about getting it, but at least I can respect the fact that he wants to hear things with his own ears. Rafe doesn't believe rumors in Salem and that is refreshing.

2. He is easy on the eyes.
Let's face it. There are worse things to look at than a soap actor.

3. He's a bad-arse agent.
The Jack Bauer/Vic Mackey fan in me cheered when the Rafe escaped from the hit man! Since Steve Johnson left, Salem needs an action hero!

4. He has a job.
The economy may be bad in the real world. But on soaps, jobs are even more scarce. Thus, it is cool that after Rafe got laid off, he took a job as a carpenter to make ends meet.

....That's all I have for now. Is it enough to make me a Rafe fan? Not by a long shot. But, at least I tried!
