Days of Our Lives 2009 Summer Predictions! Part 1

Since Laurisa and I are always looking for the hottest Days scoop, we recently sat down with Bo Brady to see if he could use his “psychic powers” to tell what’s going to happen in Salem this summer. Although he only stayed for a short time before unexplainably vanishing, he managed to give us a lot of juicy details. Here’s what he told us:

Bo ensured us that he and Hope will have an interesting summer! Since they no longer have any friends to hang out with, they’ll hold a competition to find two new BFFs. Challenges will include sailing, art theft, and bar fighting. The final round is a mystery night dinner on MelaswenIsland. The last couple to solve the crime will become Bope’s new BFFs!

Sadly, Lexie will not make it through the first round of Bope’s BFF Contest because her bar fighting skills are not up to par. However, since she’s already taken the time off work to compete, she decides to use that time to embark on a nation-wide search to find her mother. But she won’t have to look far. When Celeste hears that Salem has a new psychic, she returns to town to challenge Bo to a psychic duel! Lexie monitors the clairvoyant clash and takes careful notes, which she crafts into an essay on mental health that is published in the highly acclaimed “Salem Medical Journal”. Her newfound fame pays her enough to cut back more of her hours at the hospital so that she can spend time with Theo, who now wants to know why he wasn’t named after his other uncle, Jonah.

By the end of the summer, Maggie will kick Mickey out of their house in order to make room for more stray Salemites. Sadly, she’ll go broke from buying bunk beds and surpluses of food and end up out on the streets herself. Even sadder, no one will give her a place to stay so she is forced to sleep in a back booth at Chez Rouge. Luckily, by making the restaurant her living space, she can earn another commendation from Salem’s Go-Green Committee, and Chez Rouge is certified a “Green Habitat Dwelling” not just a “Green Business.” Subsequently, Maggie is listed on the Endangered Vets List.

After Maggie kicks him out, Mickey will stay with Abe for a while. However, Abe will quickly realize that hanging out with Mickey is slowly turning him invisible, and he’ll kick him out as well. Abe will be back on screen after the ordeal to bring Lexie coffee and joke that he’s been busy lately.

Speaking of busy, new best friends forever Nicole and Stefano decide to take a vacation together over the Independence Day weekend to celebrate their “Baby Swap” success. They end up in Las Vegas where they get drunk and “make love.” Nicole becomes pregnant with nonuplets. TLC catches wind of this and coaxes them to do a reality show. They agree and Stef & Nic Plus Nine premieres in the fall.

By July, E.J. will be diagnosed with a Multiple Personality Disorder, thus explaining why he’s been acting so odd the past year. He’ll call his aggressive, arrogant personality “Me-J” while his more relaxed, calmer one will be known as “EZ-J.” By the end of the summer, a third personality will develop called “DJ-E.J.” and he’ll become Salem’s hottest new disk jockey.

With E.J. dealing with his disorder and Nicole and Stefano busy preparing for their show, Sami will get custody of Johnny and Sydney. Additionally, Ali and Will will spend a lot of time with Sami while Lucas is on his book tour (more details below). Since she needs some way to make money, Sami decides to open a childcare service. However, no one in Salem can keep track of how many kids Sami actual has, so everyone just assumes that Sami is the mother of all of them. Fortunately, when Sami gets overworked and lonely, she just offers up one of her clients for adoption to random men in Salem.

Suspicion continues to swirl around Rafe’s mysterious past and, by mid July, Sami will receive a package from Switzerland. It will be from John and Marlena and will spell out the entire story about the mysterious “Rafe” …

Carrie and Austin never visited John and Marlena in Switzerland which made John raise an inquisitive eyebrow. So, being the only person who can actually solve a crime, John investigated. He found Carrie, but could never locate Austin. It turns out that Carrie and Austin never forgave Sami for sending Will and his raunchy ‘tude to live with them, so they set a plan in motion to get back at Sami. Kate got Austin in contact with the doctor who performed Philip’s face transplant. Austin hired the doctor to make him look exactly like one of his old boxing training buddies, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald. Then Austin came to Salem under the alias “Rafe” (Really Austin w/a Fake Exterior).

His initial plan was to kill Sami, but when Austin/Rafe learned that Sami was pregnant, his plans changed. Even though his face was different, his abs were still the same. So he decided to use his magic physique, which Sami could never resist, to seduce Sami into letting him adopt her baby. Then, he would fake the baby’s death and then take the child back to Carrie in Switzerland.

But Sami will take the information that John sent her to Roman. Knowing that Kate could change any DNA test to protect Austin, Roman will come up with another way to prove that Rafe is indeed Austin Reed in disguise. Roman will purchase a copy of “Trivial Pursuit: Pre-School Edition” and challenge Rafe to a game. Despite the impressive surgery and the hypnotic abs, nothing will hide the fact that Rafe is the exact same degree of dumb as Austin. With the proper proof, Roman will throw Rafe in jail. He will become cellmates with Patrick Lockhart, and the two start a tag wrestling team called, “The Black Glove and the Mr. Duh”
