Hey! I'm dolce_amore, and welcome to my blog! I am a huge fan of the daytime soap, As the World Turns. I am most definitely a one-soap kind of girl, so this blog will be centered solely around ATWT, nothing more, nothing less (other than the occasional "me" post ). I write a blog reviewing episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, as well as a "My Thoughts" entry every now and then when I discuss my feelings on a specific character. Also, look for my character poems every so often where I write a poem thinking like a certain character would, and you have to guess which character "penned" the poem.

I really appreciate comments, so please, post away!!!

XOXO,
dolce_amore

I just wanted to take a minute to point out I actually did my Monday, Wednesday, and now Friday blog this week! I actually did what I said I'd do - wow!

Today's show was... well, if I were to grade it, I'd give it a B. I have to say with all the excitement and incredible writing that's been going on with this show lately, today fell a bit flat for me.

Star of the day: Maura West. WAY TO GO CARLY! I'm so happy she didn't go the wimpy route with "Oh Craig, you were lonely, I forgive you." She stuck up for herself and was able to keep her dignity (something most women on this show seem to have, err - misplaced?). I was so proud of her - I'm so happy she's strong and independent - it's a far cry from the woman she was back in July before she left for rehab.

BTW - her "going bump in the night with Craig" quote was HYSTERICAL!

Now, as much as I like Carly and as much as I HATE Janet - I definitely was siding with Janet today in their little kitchen showdown...

Carly is telling Janet to drop everything and go find Jack. First of all Carly, that is for Janet to decide. She's dealing with her own tragedy (her daughter losing her father and baby so suddenly) and SHOULD be there for Libby. If Jack felt the need to run away from his issues, to be selfish and deal with them alone rather than working through such a tough time with his family - he doesn't deserve anyone to chase after him. Katie is suffering a HUGE loss but did she run away? No, because there are more important things to consider, like her baby and her loved ones that are also suffering a loss. To me, running away from his children and wife when they are grieving just as he is, when they need him - it's just selfish. Sure, he was the one who shot Brad - but he's not the only one who lost someone they love. Has he even CONSIDERED how many more losses Parker has suffered than he? His father Hal, his sister Jennifer, and now his Uncle Brad? HE is the one that should be running away to cope, but no - HE is toughing it out for his family.

Carly needs to keep in mind Janet is his wife, not her. She concerns me when she goes into "taking care of Jack mode" when it's not necessary. Right now she needs to be 100% focused on herself and her children - Jack is a big boy, and he can take care of himself.

Teri and Dusty - . No further comment.

While I agreed with Janet (ow that hurts to say) on the Jack issue, I CANNOT BELIEVE she has the nerve to say she didn't trust Ralphie, and it was wrong for Teri to. Are you kidding me? You trusted him enough to be left alone with your daughter! You trusted him enough to let him find parents for your grandchild! Shut up, Janet.

I thought the Ben Franklin thing with Jack was just really freaking stupid, I'll be honest (when am I not?). It was just - yeah, bad.

I'm continuing to love Katie/Brad - ESPECIALLY when he got to see Jacob! Yay! I'm so glad he got to see his baby! What a sweet moment. A word of caution to TPTB, though: Don't drag this out too long. Right now it's very sweet and romantic, but I can see Brad constantly chirping "I have to talk to Katie!" in Henry's ear to begin to get boring - and annoying. I'm very happy with the s/l so far, though.

I think that's all for today. I'm not going to talk about Craig. He's in deep trouble with me.

For the previews - Do it Jack, JUMP!

Have a lovely weekend!
XOXO,
dolce_amore
