Leave the angst to the younger set! Chemistry is a very subjective thing, so I can certainly see how some viewers like Danifer and some don't. But, I don't think that Abigail needs to be redeemed at all. She's doing exactly what Jack would have wanted her to do - support her mother.

Sure, Patrick had a lot to do with whom Jack selected. But the point is that Jack was not against having Jen move on right away. So, Chloe was saying that Abigail was "stomping on [her] father's grave" by supporting Jennifer dating Daniel "two or three months" after Jack's death was incredibly inaccurate. We know that Jack would have no problem with Jennifer moving on right away because he himself set up a suitor in the waiting for Jen the last time Jack "died'. I certainly was a weird and unconventional move, but that's kind of vintage Jack! Chloe didn't know what she was talking about. Finally, I didn't say that J&J weren't a real couple since 2000. I said that J&J haven't been shown to be a real couple much since 2000. We're starting the 13th year, and they've been on about 4 of those years together. Without the benefit of all of the past J&J magic, they fall very much into the Steve/Kayla category of great couples who were brought back and then relied on nostalgia instead of actual storyline to win over new fans. Well said! I hate the way they are writing this character; he does not belong in a story with Gabi (and no one else does either; she needs to go home to her mama after the baby is born; Will and Sonny can raise the little one fine without Miss Boring). I love the photos you included. I didn't watch Days back then, but these photos make your point. His character has changed for the worse. I hope the writers correct this soon.
I love having Nick back on screen, even in this form, but I do miss his old self, the one that everyone loved. He had the potential to be the future of the Horton family. He still does, really, but the show needs to stop destroying him. Bring Jessica back and explore her DID, and explore what happened to Nick in prison (Does he too have DID?). Please DAYS don't destroy Nick! I am afraid he'll end up dying off the show, which would be terrible. I have always thought that the group--he, Nathan, Jeremy, Will, Abigail--were the future of the Hortons. And truthfully, we need all these characters onscreen in a long term capacity and with story because they will carry that family forward.
I'm still pissed off they got rid of The Fallonator and I really resent this version, which I am jumping to the conclusion of, is simply to try and gain sympathy for Gabi.
My Favorite reason....#3 Ejami they are the ONLY reason I watch, in saying that Eileen Davidson made me tune back in sooner than later. i was boycotting waiting for Ejami she made me tune Back in sooner. Ejami is why I am watching & once again waiting???
I'm definitely an EJami fan, but I can handle Sami with Rafe as long as she doesn't lose her character. That's what I'm afraid of this time. She needs to have some secrets she's hiding and some evil deeds she's doing behind his back to make them more interesting. Otherwise, it just makes for boring TV!
ICAM with your view on Sami. I don't know why, or what Higley (?) was smoking when it was decided that Sami should be the next goody-two-shoes heroine (who, incidently, shot a defenseless man in the head & would commit assault and battery on those who wanted her deed to be brought out.) But I digress. Instead of turning the whirlwind known as Sami into something she wasn't, why in the world didn't the writers just go ahead and bring back Carrie or Belle for the role. It would have been much easier. And I can't reinforce enough the fact that I am sick and tired of seeing Sami kissing Rafe's butt for things that she isn't responsible for while he stands there and stoically allows it. I think that Rafe knows if Sami ever gets an ounce of self-respect, self-confidence or self-esteem she'll walk away from him and never look back. He seems to need her to feel that she is below him. I will never understand Sami's waffling between Rafe and EJ, it's mind boggling.
I hope you are on to something! I never believed that EJ really wasnt Stefano's son...(at least I kept my fingers crossed it wasnt true!). your theory would clear up my confusion on how such a cultured, brilliant, cunning, not to mention GORGEOUS man such as EJ could be an offspring of Susan (yes Eileen Davidson is stunning, but Susan is no Ashley Abbott or even Kristen!)
