Christopher "Chip" Mayer, eileen Davidson's ex husband, dead on July 24th. He was regualr on Santa Barbara from 1987-1988.

I did a search on this website but didn't see any notice.

Thanks for the post, didn't recognize him until I saw his picture in the article above. I remember him from several roles he had inc. Santa Barbara.

0w0w! He was hot! I remember him replacing the famous Duke of Hazard boys and actually thought he was the only one hotter than the original one. I never knew he married Eileen though. Sad to hear about his death.

I also remember him... It's sad and my thoughts and prayers go out to his fiance, family and friends...:(

Aww that is so sad. I don't remember him from Santa Barbara but I do remember him and that other actor replacing Tom Wopat and John Schneider for a while when they left Dukes of Hazzard. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

WOW! I did not realize that Christopher Mayer was married to Eileen Davidson. I only remember him from that one season of Dukes of Hazzard. Still, way too young to have passed.

Oh wow, this is so sad. I remembered from his days of replacing the original Dukes of Hazzard actors. Its possible I forgot, but didn't know that he and Eileen Davidson were married.
