I got bad but not suprise news people: Passions has been canceled.

The cast will be taping their final episodes on DTV in March.

There should be an official announcement soon.

If this rumor is indeed true. JER, again has to be blamed. The ratings were poor on NBC b/c of the constant propping of the GET triangle. Apparently, JER has not learned his lessons. He used the very thing that was sinking the show on NBC to sink it again on DTV. He really is clueless.

TNT would be nice, but don't hold your breath.
Passions' small cult following would not last on TNT, a big network which requires big ratings.

As always, AC Neilsen's outdated system holds the American TV industry hostage.

One way to find out is to watch the fall lineup of TNT. If PSSNS is not on the roster, then you know it will not air.

Passions use to air on Syfy but then it stopped!! I was enjoying watching it from the beginning and then they just yanked it off!!!

I just dont understand why NBC could not just have Passions air from their own website? They can easily spread the word and find sponsors to help pay for the show airing and to pay the actors. They don't have to worry about a network yanking them off either if they feel the ratings were low.

I haven't heard any more about this rumer. It would be greate to see it on say Soapnet or even TV Land though. There is a lot I missed from this show!

There is a buzz about Passions comming out on the internet from the first season on Hulu but I have spotes something on the net about a Boxed Set comming later this fall. Does anyone have factual information?:-?

Rogers, the cable company in Canada is launching a new service next week. As long as you subscribe to the Super Channel through Rogers, you will get to access Passions episodes through the new "Rogers on Demand Online" service.

I think that everyone kept using the same arguements that had been hashed over so much in the past. It's not like we get to see the show in the US for reruns and fresh perspectives on our favorite characters. If it were possible for the fans in the states to see the show again from the beginning or at least the last two years when it was off of NBC, I'm sure that there would be fresh discussion. We might even be able to see through the characters that we love to hates eyes! :o

Well a couple of weeks ago people that came to this board was talking about Gwen/Ethan/Theresa and the exact same thing that they done is what other characters had done. Especially when a girl tried to get a guy when he is in love with someone else. And so I always wanted to talk about it or something besides GET.

^^ Agreed. It was like that on all the Passions boards, though, GET debates were very consuming.. I always found Liz/TC/Eve/Julian, Grace/Sam/Ivy and Antonio/Sheridan/Luis more interesting, but nobody ever talked about them!

I love Tabitha even though she works for the dark side, Timmy for he was so cute and so was Endora. I should had knew that Tabitha was going to kill Charity or find a way for Charity to come to the dark side. I loved the supernatural especially when people just go to hell/heaven like normal and when Kay lost her soul or gave it up.
I would love to talk about these things for GET was apart of Passions but it didn't consume all of Passions

I loved the Antonio/Sheridan/Luis triangle because there was so much underlying drama to the situation that made it interesting. Like Sheridan and Luis' history with one another and always being separated by Antonio. Or like Antonio being missing for all those years and when he did come home he was in love with his brother's "dead" fiancee. That was so crazy. Then little miss good Sheridan turned evil when Luis fell for Fancy. I could go on and on about Sheridan and Luis but I will let someone else get in on this conversation.:D

Honestly, I thought Passions was at it's best when TC strolled into the kitchen and into the living room popped Liz, to call her sister every name in the book only for TC to walk in on EVE saying something bad.. Ahh, that Liz was awesome. Amelia Marshall was great! Remember when Liz spiked the pitcher of lemonade? That lemonade was like sex in a glass to TC, he raved and raved, bahahaha

Remember blind Antonio? LOL!!! Didn't Shuis sleep on a bed together next to Antonio's hospital bed while he was in a coma or something, too? I always wanted Bethy and Antonio to team up to tear Shuis apart, TPTB missed the boat with that!

Passions had been on the air for at least 9 years so there is a whole lot to talk about. Well Bethy did wanted Luis all to herself that is where all of her sins comes in for in Season 1 when we saw Beth she was actually a good person. I thought it was crazy when Beth turned out to be Sheridan half sister and that is why people thought that she was Marty mother. But remember when she was dipping sugar. Alistair has used Luis/Antionio to his advantage for I believe it was Cain/Abel in the bible that he kept saying.
Sheridan did turned evil when Luis loves Fancy for if Fancy wasn't with Luis then there will be doubt in Sheridan mind that Fancy got raped. But she ruin her own marriage with Chris so I didn't feel sorry for her.
Then there is the incest s/l when Whitney thought that she was with her half brother Chad because of her mother past that she lied about. And how she lie that Chad was Myles father and he adopt him. Then when Chad and Whitney found out that they are not relate at all he end up sleeping with Vincent the blackmail who was railroading Luis and Fox was railroading Miguel. And Vincent wasn't only a guy but was Julian son and Chad was Alistair that Alistair kills when Whitney found out that she got pregnant.
These stories go on and on for they aren't true but definetely entertaining.

During the Vandetts saga, I often worndered what else did Creapy Chris have up his sleve besides his "slight " connection to Al and Spike? I always knew that something was up with Jerod but we never found out what. Then there was JT Cornell, who else wondered what else he had on that USB stick? I think it would have been so much better if some one other than Gwen and Rebecca could have found it. :-? Then there wew all of those characters that just sort of went away and others who should never have been there in the first place.

Vendetta was awesome, remember that interactive thing online, too? Passions Red could have used a bit more mystery, but it was fun seeing Alistair be the scared one for once!

I agree with you Rascal, I always wanted to know just how bad Chris really was.. Loved the guy, but he couldn't last forever being a nice guy.

One character I always wanted to stick around was Maya. I thought the actress was great!

I thought that it was a ploy point that Jared was up to something because the only person who thought that was Ethan and there was more to that than Jared not being such a good guy.
Seems like there were a lot of loose ends that we will never find out for Gwen and Rebecca had a motive but doesn't mean that anyone else couldn't. JT was blackmailing half of Harmony but did anyone find out who killed JT Cornell.

I still think that Jerod had something going but I think that it had more to do with the Hotchkiss corporation. Gwen wanted him to stay around because he kept Theresa occupied but I think that there was more to it.

In the Tabloid Thruth saga, I thought that those clues were a bit wild. We never got the whole story. Sense Jt Corrnell was blackmailing over half of Harmony, I wonder why none of the other secreats never surfaced. Some of the other characters like Dock that helped liz on the island and helped the crew back to Harmony, they had a connection but that was never talked about.

What ever happened to Hank Bennet? He left one day and we never saw him again!:-?

I always thought that Gwen was so worried about her marriage and that is why she wanted Jared. But I always thought if there was something about Jared then it will have to do something with Theresa. Something that he had done that will put a nail on his relationship coffin to Theresa. And maybe Gwen stopped it because she knew and she wanted to hold on to Ethan I wouldn't put it past Gwen. For Ethan went to JT cornell for the dirt on Jared and Gwen mother was sleeping with him but I wouldn't put love and Rebecca in the same sentence. And Rebecca has always hated Theresa and had always wanted Gwen to be with Ethan.

I knew that Hank has got into trouble and help bury Sheridan for they were threatened to hurt Kay. Then I saw another Hank and he was helping Luis when pregnant Sheridan was being abducted at Beth.
I thinking that Alistair has something to do with the blackmailer and Luis being railroad in 2007 but I wouldn't put it past Sheridan when it comes to Fancy because she hated seeing Fuis together.

Hank was great, but he never really fit with the show that well. The two actors in the role were hilarious, but having comedic relief for Sam Bennett didn't really sit well IMO. Sam's storylines were always so moody.. Remember how big of a dream couple Gwen/Hank were? JER should have picked up on that.

I agree for I will be fine with Gank even if Gwen/Hank was used to test their chemistry. But JER never make Gwen tried to move on from Ethan but if he did then that will put Gwen and Hank in another love triangle.

When Gwen grew a backbone and left after she and Jerod caught Theresa and Ethen in bed together, I though finely she learned that she had lost Ethan befor she married him. When Gwen came back talking about a new man in her life loving only her; I thought, here comes what this show needs ... a strong woman who has a health relationship. Insted in the same breath Gwen comes back chasing Ethan yet again! What happened to all of that "class" she was supposed to have?

I definetely didn't see her being smart when it came to Ethan for when Ethan call off the wedding. She was blaming Theresa for setting a trap for Ethan for if Ethan didn't love Theresa he would never had call off the wedding [the first wedding where Gwen wasn't pregnant]. I know that Theresa had tried to stay close to Ethan but if Ethan had loved Gwen and Gwen only then he would never look twice at Theresa and it certainly don't matter if Gwen/Ethan lives in Harmony, India, New York, LA or on the moon or in the same house with Theresa when she thought that she was married to Julian and had married Alistair.
Also, I didn't see the class that Gwen was supposed to have for yeah I saw her chasing after Ethan because she couldn't even stand Theresa being in love with Ethan or being without Ethan for that is the reason why she listened to her mother and she knew that if Ethan find out that how Gwen supposedly ruin his life that Theresa tried so desperately to prove it wasn't her but Gwen and her mother then Ethan will leave her and go back to Theresa. She knew that is the reason why she took those disks out of Theresa hand and burned them for she is just like Theresa. And Ivy has no room to talk after what she did to Sam marriage but I think with Ivy is was partically because Theresa got the blame of sending that letter to the tabloid and her dreams came crashing down.
Well if Ivy hasnt lie then she wouldn't had to worried someone knowing her secret.

A lot of the other characters is just like Theresa or had done the same thing that Theresa has done. And the thing has happened to them just like it had happened to Theresa.
Ivy [Maybe I am alone in this but isn't Theresa the reap that Ivy sow. Let see Ivy didn't care about Grace/Sam marriage and had scheme and plot to get Sam and had kept that Grace had run away with a man that wasn't her first husband].
Kay [She did a lot of horrible things to her cousin Charity to get Miguel even use the bird statue to make Charity go crazy and pour fish guts at prom. Now when Miguel is in love with her and was engaged to Fox he scheme and plot to get Kay by using Charity and Miguel lookalikes, lying that he was dying and Miguel tried to kill him].
Fancy [maybe it is not the same thing but she did tried to get Esme to go back to someone so she can spend time with Noah but Maya and Sheridan has done the same thing to her. And Beth has done the exact same thing to Sheridan and Julian/Alistair tried to come between Shuis.
Liz I never thought that she was in love with TC but wanted to ruin Eve life.
I think that Rebecca scheme and plot to get Johanthon but she def has done the exact same thing to get Gwen and Ethan together. And then blackmail Julian to married her and use the fact that Eve was going to jail for Julian to not divorce her.

continuing Gwen wasn't innocent in the scheme and the plot and yes she was very concerned for Katherine but the same thing has happened to Theresa and she didn't want Ethan to come to her rescue. So she is not better than Theresa or had any class for she is the same boat as Theresa wanting to get Ethan.
My point is if Theresa is selfish manipulative then so are these people as well and Alistair is even worst for all these people had one thing in common expect for Esme/Julian and Alistair. That they was in love with someone and that person was with someone or was in love with someone and they will do anything to get near them.
