did guza ever say anything about that? there was a woman wrapped in bandages on nightshift who seemed to kow jason, and we never found out who she was? why didnt they reveal who she was? why was it dropped?

I doubt it. I think it was dropped because VM couldn't come back after all - and we have no idea how true the rumours were that Alyssa Milano was being considered for a recast.

They brought over a few stories from NSI, but it wasn't supposed to parallel the show like NSII was.

At least not now. It's money that can be used elsewhere and they've done two after-hours hospital short term gigs now.... I think the idea of NS has to be expanded and used more intentionally, then perhaps we will see it regularly. I think there's something there to learn for soaps going forward in general.
