I LOVE the pairing of Bobby and Pam played by Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal. :) They are my favorite pairing on Dallas. :)

I really enjoyed their rocky relationship over the years....it was a 'Romeo and Juliet' type story (without the poison and suicide), and really made for a whopper of a family battle while they were married. The show may really have capitalized on the 'J.R.' craze, but....Bobby and Pam were always much more fun for me to watch.

I remember very well the scene when Bobby proposed to Pam for the second time (the night before he 'died'), and she said yes, and cried, and said 'I thought I'd lost you forever!'....I cried right along with Pam, as I was so happy to see them getting back together (and I was a sap for the couple, haha).

I was very, very disappointed when Victoria Principal left the show...although the fiery explosion was a major cliffhanger for the show, I hated to see her go......

Guidinglite, I HATE the way VP was written out the show and I HATED that she was mummy in the hospital for 4 episodes before she wrote that "goodbye letter" to Bobby and Christopher. %( The writers should have made Pam pregnant with Bobby's child in season 8 instead of pairing her up with Mark Graison. :) I LOVE the scene where Bobby proposed to Pam in the episode Swan Song. :) I didn't like Pam with Mark Graison at all. :-{

I loved Bobby & Pam, too. He never seemed as happy with any other woman. And Pam was just so gorgeous to watch ! TPTB spent too much time breaking them up, which was frustrating.

My most memorable Bobby and Pam moment is that scream she lets out after he's hit by Katherine's car. Now THAT was a scream. I always thought VP was the heart of that show and it was never the same when she left.

I agree with you, Jagger. Then things went to h in a handbasket when Miss Ellie left. How weird it was without her !

That whole last season was just sad. J.R. Bobby and Cliff were the only core characters left. Ellie and Lucy were gone, Clayton appeared maybe four or five times and April was gunned down courtesy of Susan Lucci. I wish it had ended the previous season.

Jagger1966, I'll never forget the way VP crawled to PD on her hands and knees and cradles Bobby's body in her arms and screams. %( IMO Bobby and Pam's lovestory was the heart and soul of Dallas. :)

I agree Sunter. It's too bad VP didn't return for any of the reunion movies so those two characters could have their happily ever after. None of Bobby's romances after Pam, other than April, worked for me. I loved Bobby and April together.

Jagger1966, I agree that it is sad that VP didn't return for either reunion movie to reunite Bobby and Pam. %( I loved Bobby and April as well. :) I thought it was sooo stupid when the writers married Bobby and April and then killed her off on their honeymoon when they didn't even know if Sherrie J. Wilson was going to come back to the show from her maternity leave. %(

Rumor has it there is a final Dallas reunion movie in the works...I for one would love to see Pam return to marry Bobby again, but....it would be a major history re-write, since they had another actress play Pam in the scenes where Cliff found her after plastic surgery following her car accident.....to have her 'old face' back again would be the same thing that Dynasty did in their reunion movie when Al Corley played Steven Carrington again, after explaining that Jack Coleman's face was Steven's new face after plastic surgery......they just never explained it in the reunion movie, and had Al Corley play the part, which irked me, much as I loved Al Corley as Steven.

While I like Bobby and Pam, I thought Bobby and April were better. Sheree J. Wilson was wonderful as April.

Bobby and Pam made a cute couple on DALLAS,but I also liked Bobby and Jenna Wade.Pam got on my nerves sometimes-she could be a little bitchy and all-knowing at times>:}B-).

Not sure how old this episode of Family Guy was, as I saw it in reruns, but Victoria Principal & Patrick Duffy were on it, for real!

In the show, the apocalypse happens and the Griffins move into a Twinkee factory to survive. Near the end, the real live Victoria Principal (not a cartoon) is shown in bed waking up. The shower is running in the bathroom and Patrick Duffy is there so she says...

I just had the weirdest dream about Family Guy!:]

Funny!:D

Lucky1138, I have seen the episode of Family Guy where Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal reprise their roles of Bobby and Pam several times. :) I LOVE the ending where Victoria says I just had the weirdest dream about Family Guy. :) The episode of Family Guy where Patrick Duffy and Victoria reprised their characters of Bobby and Pam orginally aired on Dec 26, 1999. :)

It was definitely a Southern-fried Romeo & Juliet story at first...but the troublesome marriage (and more interesting relationship) between J.R. & Sue Ellen became the more provocative saga as the soap picked up steam and peaked during the early 80's!

I thought the only reason VP wouldn't come back for reunions was because it could only be the FINAL reunion in her opinion.

In that case...GOD I hope they have another one!

But isn't JR dead and in Hell?>:}
He went to Hell in the last episode with Joel Grey, right?:-?

JR didn't shoot himself, as the follow-up reunion movies showed.

Bobby and Pam were my favorites, but it was a torturing romance, they were true soul mates. TPTB, did spend too much time breaking them up which spoiled Dallas for me anyway, but I still watched it. I kept thinking that they would be the end all, but it didn't end that way as we all know.

As for the the reunions they had on tv, Victoria Principal would never come back to play Pam, and they begged her to play Pam. But, she had her mind set that she didn't want to change their opinion of her and Patrick Duffy, she wanted them to remember her how she was on Dallas. It still doesn't make any sense to me. I'm trying to remember, and I'm sketchy with my details, This was a personal interview with V/P. a few years back.
