On the original 90210, what was Kelly's profession?

I heard she's going to be on the new 90210 as a school councellor and I was just wondering if that is in line with what she was doing before or a complete 180....

Well, Kelly was running a boutique or whatever with Donna. Then she went into PR. But I think Kelly got her degree in child psychology or some kind of psychology, so maybe she decided to put that to use
