According to MichaelFairmanSoaps.com, AW will be begin airing on Hulu.com on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
There will initially be 18 episodes available, with 3 episodes to be added per week. The first show will be the one which originally aired on May 10, 1991. This was the last episode that was shown on SoapNet when AW was airing there. So these tapes will pick up the show where SoapNet left off.
I'm REALLY excited about this!
Hopefully, these videos will be less troublesome than the ones on AOL. :D

This is wonderful news. It will be great to pick up where soapnet left off too. I can't wait to see them. I never did get into the one's on AOl, way before i started watching, and i had trouble getting them to work. I really hope they continue it through to the end. I am so excited. Thanks for posting this.

Sweet! Just around the time of the return of Carl Hutchins, the main dude himself! AOL is a problem for me, I hope they fix that.
I miss AW!%(

I was on my way here to post this. I'm glad to see the news is already spreading! Hopefully there will be a tonne of interest and it will continue for the entire run. HULU is one of the sites that only allows viewing inside of the US but it's possible to work around that. As we don't have Soapnet here either I wish they were starting a year or so earlier, I'd love to watch Marly on trial for shooting Jake again. That is one of my all time fave soap SL's. But I'm so pumped to see Jake and Paulina from almost the beginning.

They've got the episodes posted, and i just watched the first one. The video quality was really good, it froze up a little at first, but then it ran pretty smoothly. A little jumpy at times, but for the most part, it played really well. I really hope they continue this and add episodes regularly. There is so much good stuff that was coming up when soapnet canceled the show, and i am really looking forward to watching again.

Oooh! Thanks Willsmom! I didn't bother to check last night because they said today. I wish I had! But I'm going to (hopefully!) watch at least one tonight! :D

I never really watched the show when it was on.... but I started watching because everyone says how good it was. I've only watched a couple of episodes, but I'm really enjoying it..... even though I'm trying to figure out who is related to who and what is going on and what not!

Hi CovingtonBay! You need the Another World Home Page! It's the bible for AW. I really don't know what I would do without it. Bless our wonderful and faithful historian, Eddie Drueding! :)

Check out the Synopses - they'll give you an idea what's going on -and the Character Guide. I love the Character Guide! It has pictures of the characters and good histories on them. The histories of major characters, such as Cass Winthrop, are a lot longer than those for more minor characters, of course.

I do remember Tom Eplin from his time at ATWT, but I'm loving him at Jake on AW. Clearly this was when Jake was a total bad boy. And boy was he good looking!

Yes, Jake was a GREAT bad boy - and quote hunky! The problem was that they had made him so bad, I was afraid he was unredeemable and would be written out of the show. But he starts a slow, gradual redemption soon. It's too bad you missed "Who Shot Jake?" It was my all-time fav mystery! And it was accomplished without losing any major characters since Jake survived and he didn't rat on Paulina for shooting him. He preferred to blackmail her! LOL!

Yes, I can see he's about to blackmail her into marriage to get her trust fund. I could see the wheels turning in his head when he heard Matt and Jenna talking about it. Speaking of which, I love Matt, but Jenna is a bore. I know she and Dean become a hot couple on this show.... I'll just have to ignore them!

Yeah, Jake and Paulina had a rather unusual love story! LOL! But she's the key to his redemption. I can't imagine what kind of man Jake would have turned out to be if he hadn't fallen in love with Paulina.
I love Matt, always did! Matt Crane left for a year or so late in the '90's and they tried a couple of recasts. I couldn't STAND it! #-o Finally real Matt came back. I never thought about Jenna much, but I guess she was kind of a bore. She and Dean made a better couple than she and Matt though. Matt was probably Bay City's most eligible bachelor and an amazing "catch" but he was chronically unlucky in love.
One of the things I always liked about AW was that people worked, and not just in police stations and hospitals. I loved the "Lady Killer" video that D&M produced. It'll be fun to see it again. :)

It was Rachel and Amanda who were talking about it when Jake overheard them.

Really? I don't know why I thought it was Matt and Jenna. But then why would they be talking about Paulina's trust fund?! BTW, I know that Paulina was recast with Judi Evans. Was Judi playing Paulina when she and Jake feel in love or was Cali still in the role and then Judi took over?
I think that Jake is going to be my favorite character by far. I loved him on ATWT (still can't believe they killed him off) and I love him here.
I think the least interesting story right now is the triangle between Frankie, Cass and Kathleen, mostly because Kathleen isn't all that interesting and I don't see the chemistry between she and Cass. But I guess she and Cass had a great love story on the show at one time.

IIRC Judi had taken over the role by the time Jake and Paulina fell in love.
ITA about Cass/Frankie/Kathleen. I remember having been so excited about Kathleen's return b/c her and Cass were the first soap couple I fell in love with and then when she got there I was like "really, this is what Kathleen is like?". I'm enjoying it more this time around though.

I just saw this message string! I am so excited! I was so upset when they took AW off of SoapNet. I didn't watch AW before and I was totally dedicated! I couldn't believe that they replace AW with One Tree Hill - a show that we could get on DVD!

OK I'm HOOKED again! LOL
I watched like 9 episodes last nite, and its more entertaining than the other shows im watching LOL
whatever happened to Donna Swajeski, the current head writer?!?! she was GREAT! I know they change writers in 1994, so she still has 3 years to go! I notice how this show is mostly character driven, and succeeds in tying in a lot of the cast to differnet stories going on...not too mention the fast pacing and twists!! i cant wait to get home today and watch another episode! my only concern is that it was stated that Hulu is adding 3 per week, but they havent added any yet and its been over a week now and still none were added!!!! anyone know if this is true or was it a speculation?!?!?!?! i would hate to invest in these stories to be left in limbo after the last episode they offer!!! %(

It's Judi's Paulina that Jake falls in love with. She'll be taking over the role on July 18th and it's long after that they fall in love. And even after they did, Jake continues to scheme and screw up, so they're off and on.
Jake's jouney from villain to hero was a long and bumpy one, but that's what made it realistic. It's ironic that he eventually became the kind of man Paulina needed for a husband, but he had lost her by then.

According on the Another World Home Page website, they changed headwriters in November 1992. Then they changed writers again in November 1994. So she has only one year and five months left.
They said that they would have 18 episodes to begin with. They added 24 episodes instead. So they have about 2 weeks worth added on the first 18 episodes. So maybe they will add more episodes this week

I hope so! I'm enjoying this show so much! i used to catch some episodes circa 87-90...but then only watched Days cuz that was my show! and i was in high school in 1991, so i didnt have time for it, but my gramma would fill me in and i knew i was missing out! lol
So lets hope we can see the rest of the run!! it's such a great time, Carl's return, the final Vicki/Marley and Paulina recasts! its refreshing to see some CHARACTER DRIVEN drama, and does anyone agree it does NOT look dated at all, it looks like its 2008!

omg! I am ALSO enjoying AW more than the soaps I watch currently!!!
it's very odd! but like i said before AW is VERY character driven and stays true to history so it makes it even better! i cant wait until we are all set with the final Vicky/Marley and Paulina! i never watched during Jensen's time as Vicky/Marley, but remember my gramma loving her portayal better than Anne's....also when the NuSam comes on...I only saw Robert Kelker-Kelly as Sam...does anyone remember what the NuSam was like?!?!?!?!

Another Fan here! Began watching in the early-mid 80's when Carl Hutchinson kidnapped Marley and Jake came to her rescue in the desert. In no particular order, I also remember from the 80's Catlin and Sally, the Cass/Kathleen/Cecile triangle, Evan Bates arrival, the Sin Stalker storyline, the Dawn aids storyline, Anne Heche, Sam & Amanda, etc. Lots of good stuff in the 80s! I recently found a bunch of tapes that I got from Eddie Drueding a long time ago. Not sure if they still work since I don't have a VCR anymore. I'm going to try to convert them to DVD when I get the chance.

Well, it's all happening now. We have Judi as Paulina and the new Sam. What do you think? Actually I think a recast always seems odd at first and it takes actors a while to make the roles their own. Jensen's first day is officially 7-25-91 I believe, but I'm not sure they have the air dates marked right. In any case, she should appear very soon!
I was SO upset that they were late publishing our three episodes this week. Thank goodness, they finally got them up! :-7

Yeah!!! All I can say is more Lorna, Lorna, Lorna. I missed so much of this show when it originally aired because of school. I'm so glad I'll be able to see the development of the Lorna/Felicia storyline from the beginning.

I loved the Cass/ Frankie/Kathleen storyline!!
I have seen Cass and Frankie since the show's end... But not the actress who played Kathleen. She was so likeable.
Anybody know about what she has done since?
