What grade would you give the first episode?
I think it was a bit uneventful, but the writing was okay.

I gave the show an A! I liked the writting and the pace of the show. To me the first season of ns the episodes moved to quickly from one scene to the next and I liked this pace alot better, it seemed more balanced to me.

I give it a solid B. Nothing to rave about. The new doctors bore me & I miss the old Leo. The writing is better though. :)

I give it an A. I thought the episode was fun and had some funny moments. I'm so used to being depressed after an episode of GH that that counts for a lot.

I'd have to give it a B. I thought it was a little slow compared to last year's first episode that seemed to fly by. I think all the new characters and lack of established ones threw me off for a minute. I surprising liked seeing Jagger, although I assumed his (SPOILER) first meeting with Robin would be better. It was kind of anti-climatic, but I thought Patrick's first meeting with him was funny. Liked seeing Epiphany and especially Billy Dee Williams characters back. Did not like the new but different Dr. Leo at all. Man did they make him a tool. Wasn't that crazy about his new blonde brother Dr. either. I did like the female blond intern and really liked the Holistic female doc a lot. She seems like a real find. Doesn't hurt that she was pretty hot either. Liked the new sets, although I'm worried how it'll translate scene to scene. Cool seeing Jagger's son Stone, although it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Not really gonna comment more on that. Would have liked to have see more nurses. I thought Patrick and Robin had a strong show though, with a much better Vibe. All in all, it was a good show though.

i want the REAL
NIGHTSHIFT BACK jason morgan! all the way!
The real Nightshift? you mean the horribly written pile of crap Guza called "Hospital Drama" where they made Jason the janitorial hero of the hospital instead of the actual doctors? :-{
Season One was rediculous because Guza propped Jason every chance he got, by giving him screen time he didn't need on a show that was suppose to ONLY be about the hospital. Added rediculous unrealistic plot points like him giving c-section in an elevator and gunning down an entire mob gang without getting hit.
As for Nightshift Season 2. I gave it an A!!!! Everything about this episode was amazing, the new sets, the timing, the script, the more realistic background shots of robins apartment and port charles, the new doctors, bringing back jagger, the music used, the acting, the everything pretty much!

I loved it. A...I loved the banter between Robin and Patrick and I enjoyed how I did not want to push Patrick off a cliff when he releived Robin of her duties because he did it out of love not power. I was so glad Jagger was not on to much because last season the show was supposed to be about R&P but ended up haveing more Jason than the main couple and I thought they would do that this year with Jagger. I think He and Patrick could become friends.
I loved the rest of the cast...I liked everyone...Claire(who I can not believe was the original gwen...I wouldn't have known if I haden't read it)and Kyle have very good friend chemistry. Leo became mean but I am interested in his past with his brother.
Also the messages were not a blatant as they were last year. When the couple who crashed through the ER came in I would have never connected them to R&P mainly because they liked eachother and did not fought but when it came down to Jerry leaving her it made her realize Patrick has never left her because of the baby or her HIV...he always stuck by her. And unless you didn't know Robin and Patrick's history, uning the couch as a bookend was brilliant.

I will give it about a B only because I just want to watch it for a change and fun. PLUS I FLOVE ASJ!!!!!! I said this on the GH board. I felt like I was watching a play. The scenes didn't seem real and it seemed like they skipped over the important stuff. We never saw them trying to work on Dr Ford, we never saw what really happened to Robin, we didn't see Robin and Jagger reunite. It seemed like we missed the important stuff and went to the after stuff. But NO MOB STUFF SO YEA!!!!! And Jagger is back so if I made it through Celebrity Circus I can make it through this.

No I seriously think the first episode was better than the 4 or 5 I watched last year combined.

After being disappointed with the first NS (I stopped watching after 4 episodes) I wasn't planning to bother with NS2 , but with Jagger's return I decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did the writing was excellent and I really like the new cast.
NS2 gets an A+++ from me. The show is sooo much better than GH which I stopped watching a year ago. I can't wait to see the next episode.

I gave it a solid B, it was good. The cast seems alright, and I am looking forward to the rest of the season. Loved seeing Jagger :x but didn't like the new Dr. Leo :[ , those were my highs and lows. I think my grades will just get better and better with every episode and I can't wait...

Yeah. Jagger's entrance.....blah.
I wish we saw him seeing Robin again for the first time in 13 years.
I'm giving it a B- for that reason. We deserved a better reunion than what we got.
It wasn't bad for a first eppy.

I give it a B-. The way they did Dr. Ford's death was not good. Very disrespectul to the character and actor, IMO. Stupid too.
And it was very disappointing not to see Jagger and Robin first see each other. We were jipped of that. Wonder why they did it like that? But it's wonderful to see Jagger...he looks awesome as ever. :x
I don't like the new Leo. I liked Dominic a lot better. His brother is a good actor, but certainly not the same. The character is majorly changed and acts like a 'butthead' :]
I love that Toussant/Billy Dee is back. He's one fine older man ;) I hope they build on the 'romance' with Toussant and Piph.
I didnt get into any of the newbies. Although, it was kind of nice to see Robin's friend from Med school. Hopefully, they will actually let them be friends.
I'm looking forward to the season. It has a lot of potential. I do agree it went a bit fast last night, but I think they might have so much they want to do with the season but not enough time. So it's being rushed a little. I definitely cant wait till Robert comes on! That will be so good.
I gave it an A. I loved it. I didn't watch season 1 nor do I watch GH, but I'm glad I decided watch season 2 of NS.

I liked the pace. I liked that it was a hospital drama. I liked the friendships and bonding between the characters. It was everything I want to see in a soap.

I gave it a C. I thought it was really boring. Scenes for next week look good though. Thrilled that Jason isn't on the show, thrilled that toussaunt is back, not really liking new doctors. I am looking forward to the rest of the season though and agree with previous posters that it is better then GH.

I gave it a D. I usually just watch a soap and enjoy the entertainment but I did not like this show. I kept wondering can I risk not watching the other shows and not be lost on GH. I didn't like any of the newbies (their characters not humans). I thought the writing wasn't that great either. I wonder if someone that works at a hospital can tell me, do they not have male and female locker rooms? Patrick trying to put Robin on mandatory leave because she was hit by a car IN the hospital, come on now. There is no way a brother would be in charge of another. I know, I know its a soap.
I love T and 'piph together again. And the sets look wonderful too.

I gave the first episode of NS an A. It was great how they did it and I totally loved the interaction between Patrick & Jagger. That was just priceless and made for some good entertainment.
I'm really looking forward to next weeks episode.
Plus it wasn't mob driven like GH is every day. It's nice seeing something different. It just sucks that Scrubs can't be like this on GH. :)

I'm sorry but since I'm not a Scrubs fan, there's no one on there that interests me. Last year had Spin and Jason and the episodes were great. I loved it when Jason delivered the baby in the elevator or when he shot the gang guy holding Robin hostage. This season, there's too many dull newbies, where's Dr. Lee and the anesthesiologist? Why not use Leyla? I like Billy Dee Williams and Piph, so maybe they might make the show better for me.
I'm not interested in Dr. Julian, they changed his personality completely, he went from being a really cool laid back guy to a little megalomaniac. Don't care about his gay brother [not because he's gay but because he seems like a boring character. I hated the way they killed Ford off in 10 seconds. Why couldn't he have been given a storyline for the evening? Monica should be the chief of staff. Anyway. I'm going to tape the episodes but I wasn't impressed at all with the first one.

I gave it a 'C' for the following reasons:
1. Boring azz newbies I-)
2. NuLeo is unattractive and horrible (Sorry, I loved OldLeo)
3. Killing off Dr. Ford was unnecessary
The only reason it didn't get a 'D' was the Jagger/Robin scenes and mention of STONE.

I gave it an A just because I love the concept of the show, and it is so
much better than the Day time GH. I love the way it has nothing to do with
the Mob and that it tells real stories. I am looking forward to it!
