This new headwriter for night shift is awesome and I think he needs to kick Guza to the curb and have him on GH everyday. I loved tonights episode of NS2.

key word here is episodes people. guza wrote like that too on NS1. he's the sole reason why it was a success. regardless how you feel about guza's writing style. if it wasn't for him their would be no NS2. their would be no robert return. their would be no jagger. atleast be appreciative that he made NS1 the highest rated program on soapnet so that ABC would consider doing another season.

that's so stereotypical. no it's not always suppose to be about hospital center s/l's. if you don't know this. let me explain something to you. GH is based in a new york area. in that area. theirs a real life hospital called..'General Hospital"..it's that simple.. it's what made GH unique in the first place. you had alittle bit of hospital drama. then you have mob drama. it works for both worlds.

theirs been allot of hospital drama lately on GH..especially with the whole nik/nading/matt/sam/lucky drug counterfelt s/l..although overall i do agree 100% on balance. but not enough to replace 14 years of history for another writer who has no history with the show or knows any of the character backgrounds. it would be like a total different asmophere. and not in a good way..mainly because most of the fan that enjoy GH is because it's unlike any other soap. if this rao guys takes over and turns GH into a sappy romance novel. i can guarantee you the ratings would flatline. i personally think that's why the ratings stay strong well others continue to consistently drop week after week.

yeah and look at their current ratings. GH is the top in the ABC lineup. and nothing is lame about the mob. if you watched over 10 years of GH mob violence. you'll realize that.

GH is at the top? Best of the worse is nothing to brag about. GH ratings are 2.1. The mob IS lame and predictable.

I'd love to see these writers take a crack at GH.

I'd hate to see the mob leave though. It's part of what separates GH from other soaps and always keeps GH near the top of my list. I would like to see more balance though.

Please, Please, Please if Frons is a smart cookie he will higher the writers of NS for GH, I was totally impressed last night, the show is amazing and I am practically foaming at the mouth for more.

See that's what the newer post Guza/Sonny/Jason fans don't seem to see or agree with. The bad guys were indeed bad guys, and damn sure were portrayed as heroes. If we're gonna talk history, I think it's best to get some of it straight. Personally I think Guza has seen his best days. Dude hasn't written anything compelling or even consistent in years. I'd love to see this new NS2 head writer paired with Garin Wolf. No soap has fell harder or faster in the ratings than GH over the years. How anyone can still sing Guza's praise, is beyond me. Dude hasn't done much in a long time.

I'm going to withhold judgement on Sri Rao until I see a bit more. So far, his writing seems solid. I love the comic banter between Patrick and Jagger. I love the the way Patricks's lines were written when Kyle and Leo were pulled into his office.

I think Sri Rao is definitely South Asian. It may not and probably shouldn't mean much to others but it's exciting for me that people of colour are taking on more prestigious roles in writing and from what I hear in front of the screen too (if that new dr/Robin's friend is South Asian also).

Oh YES!!! I think we should start a campaign about that. He knows the characters and obviously has affection for the show - something Guza doesn't have any more (if he every did).

The writer who can gush about being a fan of GH since childhood is the writer we should have at the helm!

I totally agree....Guza needs to go and from what I have seen Roa would be a great replacement. Roa understands the history of the show....did anybody see the baord that said the Tania Jones Wing? Roa thought of even the little things with respect to history. I could never see Guza even caring about Tania Jones:[
We need a writer that cares about the show, understands the characters and cares about what the audience wants....that is Rao. Guza does not care about this show or his fans and he is destroying the show.
I hope Guza's days are numbered and would definatley be part of a campaign to see a HW that cares about the show take his place.
